There isn't any easy way to deliver this news, and I'm doing my best to hold it together, so forgive me for copying this text partially from my own site.
My good friend Phil Clippinger, who graciously provided the distinctive voices of Shining Example and Loofah-Lad in John's Arm: Armageddon, was killed in an accident this past Saturday. Phil was one of the coolest, nicest guys I've ever known, always positive and upbeat, hilarious, too, and frankly I looked forward to having him on board in the Pod fold for the next twenty or fifty years. His contributions to the John's Arm movie are everywhere. Dr. Baldicus' line, "Take me to mein crazy boat"; that came directly from Phil. I'm grateful that he got to see it on the big screen last April, as well as his scenes as the panicky Loofah-Lad, which nobody else could have done better, or funnier. To say that I and my friends are poorer having lost him is a terrible understatement. The truth is, Phil was simply irreplaceable, and we'll never be lucky enough to know another human being like him.
